Be Prepared to Mobilize

If Trump fires Mueller or Rosenstein, the news will trigger spontaneous rallies in the U.S. and in locations abroad. Below are several ways you can get involved:

FOR THOSE ABROAD, local country committee leaders, organizers and DA members should consider the following options:

Organize a rally

Let us know if you will be holding a rally (do follow local laws and practices), and post the event notice on your country's page on Democratsabroad.org. Get in touch with the DA Comms team for more information on organizing rallies. 

We emphasize caution on the part of country committee leaders and organizers to make sure your events are in keeping with relevant laws and local authorities, and to avoid aggression or confrontation.

Suggested actions:

  2. Sing chants  
  3. Video parts of the rally on Facebook Live. (Let the DA Comms team know so they can share the live event on the DA Facebook page) 

Meet in a public place

No time to get a permit? No problem! Meet up in a venue your members all know for a sit down rally. 
 
Suggested actions:

  1. Bring signs and take photos of members with signs to share on social media - hashtags: #NobodyIsAboveTheLaw, #DAResists, #Resistance
  2. Run a call storm event - organize guests to call their senators and representative (see script and #s below).
  3. Sing chants 
  4. Video parts of the meet-up on Facebook Live. (Let the DA Comms team know so they can share the live event on the DA Facebook page)

Meet in a private space

Are your favorite venues booked for the season? Meet at a member's house, or a local university or high school classroom. 

Suggested actions:

  1. Create a sign and take a selfie to share on social media - hashtags: #NobodyIsAboveTheLaw, #DAResists, #Resistance
  2. Email your selfie pic to Democrats Abroad and join our online rally (we'll send more information)
  3. Call your senators and representative (see script and #s below)
