DA Brazil is one of 48 country committees that comprise Democrats Abroad, the official Democratic Party arm for more than 9 million Americans living outside of the United States. The aim of Democrats Abroad is to provide Americans abroad a Democratic voice in our government and elect Democratic candidates by mobilizing the overseas vote.

Right to Vote-

If you’re an American citizen residing in Brazil (including those of you who may have dual citizenship and have even spent the better part of your life here), are 18 years of age on or before the date of the next federal election, you have the right to vote in U.S. state and federal elections. The role of DA Brazil is to provide assistance on the voting from abroad process from Brazil. The first step: visit VoteFromAbroad.org to register and request your ballot. For more details, including deadlines, consulate information and mailing services, please go to: How to Vote from Brazil.

Opportunities to get involved-

In addition, there are many ways to get involved with DA Brazil. We offer our members and the community virtual and live opportunities to connect and engage. Guest speakers on topics of interest such as paying taxes from abroad and social security, book clubs, Caucuses and State Teams.  For a complete overview on events happening in Brazil and across Democrats Abroad, please bookmark the Events Page.

Volunteer-

As a 100% volunteer run organization DA Brazil is always recruiting for our get out the vote efforts. Join us in 2024! Send an email to: [email protected]  and learn more about the opportunities we currently have available.

We are here to assist with your voting needs and look forward to hearing from you!
